GOLF
Golf in Palmetto Dunes includes three courses, Robert Trent Jones, George Fazio and Arthur Hills. There is a special rate for owners at each course which is less than that charged to visitors. All golf courses are spikeless. Proper attire and timely play are strongly encouraged. Each course has bathroom facilities, water and marshals available to assist golfers. Robert Trent Jones Course – Named South Carolina’s Golf Course of the Year, the Robert Trent Jones Oceanfront Course is widely renowned for its open, inviting layout and spectacular views of the Atlantic Ocean. Visit website.
Toptracer Range –Toptracer Range, the ball-tracing technology used on televised golf tournaments to track the shots of the game’s best players, is located at the Robert Trent Jones Course. Featuring 15 covered bays, guests of all ages and ability levels can play a variety of fun and skill-based games, compete against friends, see their shot trace, and receive instant data on interactive screens. George Fazio Course – Hilton Head Island’s only par-70 public golf course, the George Fazio course was just named South Carolina Golf Course of the Year by the SC Golf Course Owners Association. The tree-lined fairways roll gently on the front nine, while the back nine offers tighter shots that require strategic positioning off the tee. Visit website.
Arthur Hills Course – Tucked within the serene enclave of Leamington, this shot-maker’s favorite offers continuous lines of dunes, a rolling layout, numerous water hazards and thick stands of palmettos. This course emphasizes accuracy and precision over distance, providing formidable challenges at every turn. TENNIS & PICKLEBALL
At the heart of the Palmetto Dunes Tennis & Pickleball Center you’ll find 17 (four courts are lighted for night play) clay tennis courts and 24 pickleball courts (all lighted for night play). There’s also a helpful, knowledgeable staff whose primary goal is to make your visit a rewarding one. With a full schedule of seasonal activities, daily round robin tournaments and a wide array of instructional programs, the Palmetto Dunes Tennis & Pickleball Center has a vacation program to fit everyone.
