Thanksgiving Turtle Trot

The Palmetto Dunes Property Owners Association (PDPOA) will host its fourth annual Thanksgiving Turtle Trot 5K on Thanksgiving Day-Thursday, November 23, 2023.

The family-friendly Hilton Head 5k is a 5 kilometer run/walk on the beach in beautiful Palmetto Dunes Resort. The race starts at 9am from the Dunes House, 14 Dunes House Lane.

Registration is $40 and includes a t-shirt. Children 12 and under run for $20.

Advance registration is required at pdpoa.run.  Race packet pick-up will be November 20 and 21 9am-4pm, November 22 9am-noon at the PDPOA Admin Office-16 Queens Folly Rd. Please arrive early on race day as parking is limited.

Race proceeds benefit the Palmetto Dunes Cares Fund, a charitable giving initiative providing resources and grants which benefit the greater Hilton Head Island area. Since inception in 2018, Palmetto Dunes cares has awarded $155,000 to local non-profits. Funds raised by Palmetto Dunes Cares are awarded as grants through the Community Foundation of the Lowcountry (CFL) a 501(c)(3) organization managing over 300 local funds. In 2022, Palmetto Dunes Cares was honored to award $63,000 in grants to thirteen organizations. All grants were awarded to recipients serving Hilton Head Island residents.
