Thanksgiving Turtle Trot

The Palmetto Dunes Property Owners Association (PDPOA) will host its fifth annual Thanksgiving Turtle Trot 5K on Thanksgiving Day-Thursday, November 28, 2024.

The family-friendly Hilton Head 5k is a 5 kilometer run/walk on the beach in beautiful Palmetto Dunes Resort. The race starts at 9am from the Dunes House, 14 Dunes House Lane.

Registration is $40 and includes a t-shirt. Children 12 and under run for $20.

Advance registration is required at pdpoa.run.  Race packet pick-up will be November 25 and 26 9am-4pm, November 27 9am-noon at the PDPOA Admin Office-16 Queens Folly Rd. Please arrive early on race day as parking is limited.

Race proceeds benefit the Palmetto Dunes Cares Fund, a charitable giving initiative providing resources and grants which benefit the greater Hilton Head Island area. Since its inception in 2018, PD Cares has awarded over $216,000 to local non-profits in the greater Hilton Head area that support our local youth. In 2023 alone we awarded more than $71,000.00 to the youth in the greater Hilton Head and Bluffton area including scholarships to two local high school seniors. All grants were awarded to recipients serving Hilton Head Island residents.
