Meet the Owners: Tom and Sarah Nash

It’s time to meet another neighbor!  Meet Tom and Sarah Nash.  They own a condo in Inverness Village and enjoy Palmetto Dunes as part-time residents, spending the rest of their time in Massapequa, New York.

This lovely couple bought their condo in December 2020, after vacationing here first.  When asked why they bought in PD, they responded, “We fell in love with Palmetto Dunes because the grounds are spectacular, the beach is breathtaking, and the golf courses are highly rated.”  They added, “We love the pickleball facility, the restaurants, and shopping at Shelter Cove.”  In addition, they love the active lifestyle with miles of walking and biking trails.

The couple said they try to get back to PD at least a half dozen times a year.  Since they are not ready to retire yet, the ability to rent their unit makes financial sense.  “We are very respectful of our full and part-time neighbors.  Our management company is very responsive to our needs and the needs of our renters.  Our renters have been very good about respecting PD and following the rules of the community.”    They also said that renting their unit allows others to enjoy all that PD has to offer while also generating some income!

When asked if they have any plans to move here permanently, they said that they are considering it.  They are going to start by spending more time in Palmetto Dunes and then maybe try being a “snowbird,” before committing to PD full-time.  They also said that so many of their friends and family have bought in Palmetto Dunes and the surrounding areas and that when they’re down here, it feels like coming home.

Tom concluded by saying, “This really is the perfect place, and we hope it won’t be long before we have grandchildren walking the grounds of Palmetto Dunes!”
