Meet Your Neighbors! John and Virginia Bianco

Meet John and Virginia Bianco from Massapequa, New York. They bought their home on Mooring Buoy in January 2021.  They first visited Palmetto Dunes in 2012 and Virgina says, “we fell in love instantly.”  They loved that the residents and guests are all so warm and welcoming.

John and Virginia are avid pickleball players.  They’re first time playing the sport was in 2017 and they have been playing ever since!  Virginia said that you can normally find her and her husband participating in the daily round robin.  They have met so many people through the daily round robin.  They enjoy spending time with their pickleball crew and she says it’s a great way to meet new friends!

One of their favorite lunch spots is the Dunes House.  Virginia and John enjoy spending a few hours at the beach, popping into the Dunes House for lunch and then trying new fun spots for happy hour with live music!

One of the special things about Palmetto Dunes, Virgina said, is that when they first started coming several years ago, they visited the island with a group of friends.  Their children and their friends all had teenagers then.  Now, her children and her friends’ children are all adults, starting families and bringing the grandkids to PD!  She loves watching the next generation making so many great memories here on the island.

John and Virginia rent their home when they are not able to come down and are hoping to spend more time here as time goes on!
