Haul Away Bridge Maintenance Notice
As part of the Board’s ongoing commitment to improving pedestrian safety along Haul Away, the POA will soon begin work next week to realign the sidewalk on the Haul Away bridge. Beginning Tuesday, July 7, work will begin on the Haul Away Bridge and is expected to continue through Friday, July 11, weather permitting. This improvement will better align the pedestrian path with the outbound flow of foot traffic toward the Dunes House beach access road, reducing the need for pedestrians to cross Haul Away multiple times and enhancing overall safety for everyone using the corridor. During construction, the bridge will remain open to one lane of traffic. Traffic control flaggers will be on site to safely direct both vehicle and pedestrian traffic through the work zone.
Motorists, pedestrians, and cyclists are encouraged to use caution, follow all traffic control instructions, and anticipate minor delays during work hours.
We appreciate your patience and cooperation as we complete these improvements. This project is one of several safety improvements planned for Haul Away. Additional measures, including selective vegetation clearing to improve visibility at blind corners and reduced speed limits, will be implemented as part of the Board’s comprehensive initiative to create a safer environment for pedestrians, cyclists, and motorists alike.
