2024 Presidential Preference Primaries (PPP)
Pick your Primary – You can pick either primary, but you can only vote in one.
- Democratic Presidential Primary on February 3
- Republican Presidential Primary on February 24
Registration – You must be a registered voter to participate
- New voters must have been registered by January 4 for the Democratic PPP or January 25 for the Republican PPP
- If you’ve moved within your county or changed your name recently, update your information before election day to help ensure a smoother voting experience

- Visit scVOTES.gov Click on “Voters” and then “Get My Sample Ballot”
Photo ID – When voting in person, you will need to show one of the following
- SC Driver’s License, SC DMV ID card or CWP card
- SC Voter Registration Card with Photo
- Federal Military ID or US Passport
Vote Early – You can vote early at any early voting center in Beaufort County
- Democratic PPP early voting is January 22-27 & January 29-February 2
- Republican PPP early voting is February 12-17 & February 20-22
- Beaufort County Early Voting Centers, open 8:30am to 6:00pm on early voting days:

Vote absentee – Only voters who have a qualifying reason can vote absentee

Vote on Election Days – Polls open 7:00am to 7:00pm (February 3 & 24)
- Don’t forget to bring your photo ID to the polling place.
