Dunes Buggy: 2022 Service

Dunes Buggy-2022 Service Runs March 1-September 5

This year the Dunes Buggy service will start running a month earlier. On March 1 the service will be available from 10am-9pm, with hours expanding to 8am-9pm April 1 through September 5. During a normal season, the Buggy services more than 50,000 passengers.  Response times can vary depending on the time of day or month.  The dispatcher will try to provide a realistic wait time when you call.

This service is available to residents and guests.  The Buggy will bring passengers to the beach, golf courses, restaurants, shops, tennis courts, as well as Shelter Cove Harbour, Shelter Cove Towne Centre, and the Plaza at Shelter Cove. One handicapped-accessible van is available.

The Palmetto Dunes Buggy is supported by corporate contributions and a transportation fee.  The transportation fee is paid by each property owner who rents their home on the short-term rental market.  PDPOA defines short-term rentals as any property rented less than 90 days.
