Crime Alert: Unlawfully Entering Vehicles

Earlier this morning, the Palmetto Dunes Security Department responded to three properties regarding reports of someone unlawfully entering their vehicles. The properties were located on Armada, Brigantine, and Dinghy and it appears that the vehicles were left unlocked. The items that were reported missing include a wallet, laptops, and firearms. Palmetto Dunes Security is currently reviewing video data in an attempt to identify persons of interest and the Beaufort County Sheriffs Office is investigating the matter.

As a reminder, please make sure that you never leave your keys or valuables in your vehicles. Additionally, please make sure that you always lock your vehicles and homes. These incidents are crimes of opportunity and can easily be prevented by taking reasonable precautions.
